Google’s Privacy Policy: don’t fall victim
Are you concerned about Google’s NEW privacy policy changes coming into effect on March 1, 2012?
People who have Google accounts (almost everyone) and who stay logged into their accounts are the people being affected. If you never log into Google then you have no worries.
Did you know that Google saves and stores every search you when you use Google Search, whether it be a search for a person, place or thing? Again, people affected are only those who log into Google and remain logged in.
Would you like to check and see if any history is stored belonging to you? And, would you like to remove ALL that history before Google’s new privacy policy comes into play? If you wait until after March 1st then you will not be able to remove your history – it’s stored forever (that’s what I’m told).
Follow the steps below:
1. Go to Google’s home page and sign into your account.
2. Click the drop down menu next to your name in the upper right corner of your screen.
3. Click “Account Settings.”
4. Locate the “Services” section.
5. Under “Services” there is a sub section that reads, “view, enable, disable web history.” Click the link next to it that reads: “Go to web history.”
6. Click on “Remove all web history.”
7. You will get a message that says, “Web history is paused.” This means that while Google continues gathering and storing information about your web history, while you are logged into your account, it will do it anonymously. Google will not associate your web history information with your online account.
Now, if you’re like me, you LOVE searching with Google. I don’t know why I do. Google hasn’t done anything for me only collect and store years of information, which I cleaned up today. Well, there are plenty of search engines out there but beware, many of them are powered by Google. So if you’re paranoid about Google’s privacy policy then be aware of those being powered by Google.
You may want to consider using one of the other GIANT search engines. If you want to ensure your privacy at all times then you might want to consider using http://www.StartPage.com (if you are not already familiar with it). It’s a search engine that is powered by Google BUT, it does it anonymously. I won’t explain it. You can check it out yourself. With this service you’re free to continue searching Google but remaining anonymous and not having your search information stored. Visit the page. Next to the search box you will see “enhanced by Google.” Beneath that you will see “Details.” Mouse over this, or click on it, and you will see their explanation on how searches are conducted using Google’s search engine.
Ok, that’s enough about my paranoid delusional state for this week. Until next time have an awesome week.
Good luck with your searches.

Facebook Webcam: webcam streaming on facebook pages
Facebook webcam streaming is becoming a popular topic, and why not? With more than 800 million active accounts on Facebook, someone is bound to want to stream their webcam on their page.
As of December 31, 2011 there were more than 37 million Facebook pages with 10 Likes or more.

For the “professional” streaming their webcam on their page can be extremely valuable, especially if they can find an app that will let them communicate 2-way, face-to-face with page visitors.
Thanks to Facebook’s change to allow the use of iFrames users can now pull outside content into their pages (formerly known as fan pages). The means people can now use Web Site Communicator to stream their webcam on their Facebook page.
Simple steps:
- Set up a Facebook Page (not to be confused with a profile page).
- Set up a tab where you can add an iFrame (knowledge of iFrames is a must.)
- Get our Facebook webcam app at http://www.FacebookWebcam.com
It can’t be any simpler.
Here’s to your Facebook page success!
